Employers Liability

Any employer has a duty to take reasonable care to ensure the safety of employees. The duty arises from an implied contractual term in the Contract of Employment, and although it is of a general nature, it is considered under the following headings of liability:

• Safe premises and place of work
• Adequate plant and machinery
• Safe system of work
• Competent fellow employees
